The figure for this cycle is 48,593 kg CO₂ equivalents.
For these emissions, we have made a contribution to a climate project.

Many households in Côte d'Ivoire cook with wood. Improved cookstoves raise thermal efficiency and, depending on the model, can cut fuel consumption by up to 70 percent, with corresponding reductions in emissions and indoor air pollution. The project is estimated to reduce 75,665 tonnes of CO₂ equivalents a year. Our contribution of 48,593 kg is a small part of that.

What we do
Measure. We calculate a product's emissions across its lifecycle - material, production, transport, packaging, disposal - so the figure is traceable and can be reviewed.
Reduce. Where the calculation shows room: material, structure, packaging, transport distance, energy source.
Contribute. We make a corresponding contribution to a project registered under an internationally recognised carbon standard.
Disclose. The ClimatePartner-ID, certificate date, project name and figures are public and can be checked directly.

Closing
48,593 kg CO₂ equivalents is the figure for one certificate cycle. It is not a large number, and it is not where we would like it to be. Next cycle, we hope it will be smaller.
